I give up! *UPDATED*

Lately Belle has been a lot more aware of who people are and even making strange a little bit. She says very few words and I'm not freaking out totally worried about her yet. She calls Daddy "Dada" and Ariel "Tissy" (sissy) Trevor "Baybay" and Grandpa is "PaPa". Papa is her favorite of all people. She loves her Papa. That's just fine with me. BUT Baby Girl...could you please work on MAMA!?! She calls me PaPa too. Sigh. I thought maybe it was just a stage and she'd come around until about 10 minutes ago when she brought me her little pink Croc and said "SHOE". *hangs head and sobs*

*Updated to add* The following day Aaron was holding Belle and looking at pictures and Belle looks at a picture of my best friend Josh, points, and says "SHOSH!" *more sobbing* Still no Mama!!

Mother's Day.

It's been over a week and I'm just getting around to posting about Mother's Day weekend. I think I'm still on a high from it. It started out on Saturday morning. Daddy's day with the monkeys and shopping day for Mommy. My sister-in-law (Jenn) and my mom (Nana) took off for Johnson Creek Outlet Mall. We had a blast. I can't remember the last time we had that much fun. The last 5 times we've gone, somebody has been pregnant or nursing, so the day has been broken up. This time though, all the monkeys were home with their daddys. We shopped from 11am until 6pm. What a day.

Sunday morning we were up early to join Nana for 8:00 church. They gave all the moms carnations. It was nice. AND!!! The monkeys were well behaved. That was about the best present. After church we went to the Country Club for brunch.

After lunch we all had a nap. THEN, we went to Madison with everybody. Papa, Nana, Dex, Jenn, Taylor, Trevor, Aaron, Ariel, Belle and myself went to Prime Quarter Steakhouse for supper. We had an amazing bonding fun weekend celebrating our mothers and our own motherhood. I love my monkeys!

Tuesdays BLOW!

In all the newness of my blogging, y'all don't know how much Tuesdays suck. Let's start at the very beginning (it's a very good place to start AHHH!! NO SINGING). Aaron used to work for a tiny newspaper here in PoDunk that is a free paper that gets delivered weekly (on Tuesday) to every house in town. The town is split into many (I don't know HOW many) little "routes". Most of these routes are delivered by rude, spoiled brats sweet and charming middle school-ers. When Ariel was a tiny baby, Aaron and I decided it'd be fun to pick up a little extra cash and snatched up one of those damn awesome routes. FAST FORWARD...

Tuesday is a work day for me so when my alarm goes off at 1:40 AM I'm already in a bad mood knowing that I will not be home until 6:00 PM. You see...Tuesday is the day that my company has titled "Continuing Education" day. We all get to work our 12 hour day and then drive the 1/2 hour to the parent company for our 2 hour Continuing Education class. SUPER!!! After class I bust ass to BumTown to pick up the girls. Then bust ass back to PoDunk to get the papers delivered. By now it's supper time and I haven't even taken off my scrubs yet, my deodorant is 16 hours old (and I'm pretty sure non-functional at this point) and my feets they are a hurting.

Today was extra special here at Drama Central. Aaron got off work late, so the girls and I ventured off on the paper route alone. After putting Belle and the papers in the Little Red Wagon, there was no room for Ariel. So bless her little soul, she walked next to me and delivered all but about 20 papers all by herself. What a little helper. I just hope she doesn't wake up in the middle of the night with leg cramps. It's probably a good mile and a 1/2 route. That's a lot for 3 year old legs.

So, that is why Tuesdays suck at my house. I feel like I don't get to have any quality time with the girls at all. Rush to eat supper, rush to get bath, rush to get jammies on to make sure we're in bed on time as to not mess up the schedule. I know what y'all are thinking. Screw the schedule, they're only this little once. You're absolutely right. But...they are BEARS if they're even a 1/2 hour off their preferred bedtime. Sigh...I'm so glad I'm off on Wednesdays.

Gettin' Down On The Farm

Every third weekend my Aaron helps with farm chores At my family's Dairy Farm. After church on Sundays my parents, my husband, my children and I typically go for lunch. On the Sunday that they are choring, the girls and I head for home for them to nap and me to nap get some things done at home. Yesterday, I was feeling lazy less than ambitious so I took the girls back to Nana & Papa's for their naps.

After seeing Ariel's reaction to several different things over the course of the week, I decided it was time to get her introduced to the farm...dogs, cats, calves, cows, 4-wheelers, skid loaders and tractors. SO...after their naps, I dressed them up in their "farm" clothes and took them outside.

Our first course of action was a quick 4-wheeler ride. When I say quick, I mean QUICK! Ariel was scared to death. She kept screaming that she wanted to "Go back to Grandma's house" while at the same time her 16 month old sister was giggling and having a great time. Daddy had had a rough day, so we thought we'd go "help" him.

In order to give my sister-in-law a little alone time with baby Trevor, I grabbed my nephew Taylor, 4, and took him to the barn with us. What a circus. Aside from Ariel crying and clinging to me and Taylor stomping through the, er, mud and Belle trying to chew on everything, I think it went fairly well. They even went and stood in the parlor with Grandma and Grandpa for awhile. Taylor actually lives on the farm, so he spends a LOT of time in the barn. Ariel and Belle are city girls. They're not much for being dirty. Well...Belle doesn't care, but Ariel is a clean kinda girl. So, when she stumbled and put her hand down to catch herself, you can only imagine what she got all over herself. Sobbing followed.

We were all having a pretty good time until the call came in that there were cows out at the "other farm". At this point, I've got 3 dirty kids 4 and under, my brother is at Menard's, my parents are milking and Aaron is the only one available. Bless my sister-in-law Jenn. She calls me and tells me that if I need to help Aaron that she'll give all 3 dirty ones a bath. What a saint. My brother ended up coming home just as I was about to go help Aaron chase heifers so I didn't end up having to help, but when I got to the house, I had 2 clean kiddos.

A little more went on and we ended up ordering pizza for the 6 of us over 4. Simple chores ended up keeping us out until after 10 and it was 11:30 by the time we got home. As I put Ariel in her bed, she looked up at me and said, "Mommy, when can I play with the cows again?"

I was afraid of this...

I was pretty much right on the money when I said that I would post a couple posts on this here blog and then lose the ummph that it requires.

Blogging is much harder than I had originally thought. I thought I'd come on here everyday start typing and a magically funny and insightful blog would appear on cyberspace. HA! This is really, really hard!!

I want to blog about my job. I can hear you all either vomiting or yawning now. It's really no fun to blog about Dialysis. Seriously, who wants to hear about the big bleeder we had to day...*crickets chirping*. Yeah...that's what I thought. Hey, we got new Epogen protcol today. Wanna hear about it...anybody...hmmmm. Ok. SO...I guess blogging about my job is out.

I could blog about my co-workers. My luck they'd all get ahold of the address of my blog and KAZAAAAM! No more friends for me.

So, it looks like the poor victims of my blog are going to be my poor family. Aaron and the girls are super excited. Oh wait...maybe not.

Maybe cuz they don't know.
